CLASS: French Cooking that Won't Break the Bank 08-18-17 6:30 - 9:30 pm

ACCENTS Chef John Strand provides this demonstration that should run between 2 1/2 and 3 hours.  Tastings of all dishes will be served and this will be a participative and interactive demonstration of French Cooking that WON'T Break the Bank.  The menu consists of the following:

  • L'ail cuit Camembert (Garlic Baked Camembert)
  • Vichyssoise (Chilled Potato and Leek Soup)
  • Salade de Chou Rouge (Red Cabbage Salad)
  • Mashed Potatoes
  • Crepes Suzette (Crepes with Brandy Citrus Sauce)
  • Vinaigrette a la moutarde (Mustard Vinaigrette dressing)
  • Coq au vin sur pommes de terre de l'ail en puree (chicken in Red Wine over garlic mashed potatoes)

Chef John Strand will give away a gift certificate for a four course in-home dinner for two to one person with a ticket draw (a $130 value) at the end of the demonstration.

Event is BYOB with bottled water provided.  *If you are interested in wine pairings, the Chef suggests the following wines for the corresponding courses:

  • Champagne/Persecco
  • Pinot Grigio/Riesling/Sauvignon Blanc
  • Shiraz/Bourgueil
  • Pinot Noir/Cabernet Sauvignon/Burgandy/Merlot
  • Chateau Coulac/Coteau Rougemont/White Sparkling Moscato

Cost is $75 per person.
